Jessie Oleson Moore, creator of the dessert blog Cake Spy, discusses her struggle with anorexia and how writing about food has helped set her on the road to recovery.

A writer, illustrator, and baker, Jessie was born and raised on the Jersey Shore. She honed her artistic skills at the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Since 2007, she has made an illustrious but modest living from the site, as well as through various illustration and writing projects. She has written two books, CakeSpy Presents Sweet Treats for a Sugar-Filled Life (2011) and The Secret Lives of Baked Goods: Sweet Stories & Recipes for America's Favorite Desserts (2013).
